Republican Center for the Development and Support of Population Well-being "Taraqqiyot"
The Republican Center for the Development and Support of Population Well-being "Taraqqiyot," was established on the foundation of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in the Fergana Valley. The project was implemented from 2004 to 2019 with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and was carried out by the International Centre for Water Cooperation. During this period, 32 water supply systems were constructed, providing more than 160,000 rural residents with access to safe drinking water and significantly improving sanitation and hygiene conditions.
Today, Taraqqiyot continues this work while expanding its activities through new socially significant initiatives that benefit rural communities — particularly those still facing persistent social and infrastructure challenges.
Our key areas of work
We implement projects aimed at the sustainable development of communities, improving quality of life, and fostering environmentally and socially responsible practices. Each project reflects our mission — to support people, communities, and local initiatives.

The NGO “Taraqqiyot” invites specialized organizations to participate in a tender for conducting hydrogeological surveys, drilling, and construction of a drinking water supply well. #WeEmpower
Strong Ideas. Strong Women.
Strong Communities.
The WeEmpower project is dedicated to developing women's leadership and supporting community-level initiatives led by women. Participants receive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in turning their ideas into action, building confidence and project management skills along the way.
We help women become active participants in decision-making processes, engage in social and economic initiatives, and create meaningful change in their communities. More than 200 women have already become beneficiaries of the project, leading their own initiatives and developing strong leadership and practical skills.
Partnership for impact
Our initiatives are implemented in close collaboration with local and international partners, creating sustainable solutions and tangible changes in the lives of communities. By bringing together knowledge, resources, and expertise, we ensure that every project delivers real, measurable impact — from access to clean water to leadership development and environmental responsibility.
Small environmental solutions — big change
Through our environmental initiatives, we work with local communities to build a responsible attitude toward the environment and personal hygiene. Education, hands-on activities, and resident engagement help introduce sustainable environmental and hygiene practices that directly improve people's health, safety, and quality of life
Young leaders protect and
develop the environment
Under the guidance of our specialists, members of the "Green Patrols" club learn environmental principles and participate in practical initiatives to protect nature and improve the environment in their communities, fostering a responsible attitude toward ecology
